CINNAMON ROLL FRENCH TOAST CASSEROLE

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 can of Pillsbury Original Cinnamon Rolls
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup of heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup of maple syrup
  • powdered sugar

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees and lightly grease an 8×8 baking pan with Pam. Open the can of cinnamon rolls, setting icing to the side, and cut each roll into 8 pieces. Melt the butter and pour it into the bottom of your 8×8 pan. Place the cinnamon roll pieces on top of the melted butter. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, cinnamon, and vanilla extract until well combined. Pour this mixture overtop of the cinnamon rolls. Drizzle the maple syrup on top and then bake for 20-25 minutes. Remove the metal lid from the icing container and warm the icing in the microwave until a bit runny…drizzle the icing on top of the casserole.

Cut the casserole into squares and place on serving dish. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and drizzle warm maple syrup on top. Serve while warm and enjoy!
