Boozy Peppermint Coffee

Christmas is almost HERE y’all and the kiddos are now out of school for Christmas break, which means…Momma’s (or not), it’s time to get your coffee pots out and brew a big ole’ pot of coffee so you can enjoy this boozy peppermint coffee recipe! Start or end your day with this delicious, much like a dessert, warm cocktail…either way you will truly enjoy this warm hug in a mug!

Boozy Peppermint Coffee

INGREDIENTS

  • coffee (make a large pot and spread the Christmas cheer)
  • heavy cream
  • sugar
  • creme de menthe liquor
  • chocolate liquor
  • chocolate fudge in a jar for the rim of your glasses
  • chocolate syrup
  • candy canes
  • whipping cream for homemade whipped cream or store bought whipped cream

DIRECTIONS

Put some candy canes in a ziplock bag and crush them into small pieces…transfer to a wide brim bowl. Scoop some chocolate fudge into a wide brim bowl and warm slightly until soft and melted (but not runny). Dip the rim of your glasses into the warm chocolate fudge and then dip the rim into your bowl of crushed candy canes.

Fill your cup 3/4 of the way with coffee. Stir in 2 tablespoons of heavy cream, 1 tablespoon of creme de menthe, and 1 tablespoon of chocolate liquor. Top with homemade or store bought whipped cream (I prefer homemade), drizzle some chocolate syrup on top, and sprinkled some candy canes on top too.

Finish by placing a full sized candy cane inside of this delicious boozy peppermint coffee! Serve and enjoy!

*This recipe can also be made kid friendly. Just leave out the booze and stir in some chocolate syrup + a drop of peppermint extract instead. Then top with all of the same goodies!
