This years Buffalo Plaid Thanksgiving Tablescape is one of my favorite fall tablescapes to date. I’ve discovered a new love for black and white buffalo plaid…it has started showing up in different ways throughout our home and I love how southern and homey buffalo plaid makes things feel.
This years tablescape was inspired by family, by home, and by daily comforts. I wanted to create an inviting table that exudes warmth and coziness…one that says come as you are…you are loved and welcomed here.
This year I have nested at home more than ever, as I’m sure many of you have, and I’ve spent a lot of time finding pieces that cozy up our home even more. When shopping in Kirkland’s for a few harvest decor pieces, I discovered that they had these gorgeous brushed buffalo plaid plates and buffalo plaid napkins. Of course my tablescape creative wheels started turning and I knew that I had to incorporate these buffalo plaid plates, napkins, and runner into this years table.
As many of you know, I also love mixing prints as well! I discovered these leopard print plates while shopping on Ballard Designs’ website and knew immediately that they would be the perfect compliment to the buffalo plaid plates that I picked up from Kirkland’s. I just love how this combination turned out.
To add a bit of a more rustic feel to this table, I used these wood chargers which I’ve used in many tablescapes before. They are truly some of my favorite chargers to set the stage for a beautiful table.
These wood candlesticks come as a set and they vary in sizes…they are beautiful, a bit rustic, and will be the perfect compliment to your cozy tablescape as well. I decided to go with black taper candles to pull out the black from the buffalo plaid and I love the rich warm feel that they lend to this table.
I also used this gold vase to display a beautiful assortment of fall flowers. Greenery and flowers go a long way when decorating your table.
I hope you will be inspired to create your own beautiful cozy welcoming table this Thanksgiving. We all have so much to be thankful for…remember to count your blessings each and every day.
As always, thank you for stopping by…I’m always so happy to have you here. Stay tuned as well because I will be sharing a banana pumpkin chocolate chip bread, an apple cream cheese muffin, and an cream of turkey, mushroom, and potato soup very soon…all recipes that will be perfect to make this holiday season.
